HICC to be venue from Sept 1 to 3

Hyderabad, Aug. 7

The Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) today announced that it has been chosen to host the Travel Agents Association of India's (TAAI) annual convention from September 1 to 3. Andhra Pradesh Tourism will be the official host for the three-day convention.

The TAAI convention is expected to attract close to 1,500 delegates and will have a sizable number of international guests and speakers. Some of the countries that have shown interest newly in this year's event are New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and South Africa.

3-day meet

The three-day convention offers opportunities for the industry players to meet and share the global trends in the industry, discuss the teething problems and identify areas for further development.

"The TAAI convention committee was considering Chennai, Jaipur and Goa other than Hyderabad for hosting this year's event. Hyderabad, by virtue of this world-class convention facility and easy availability of hotel rooms became our natural choice. The facilities at HICC are comparable to the best in the world, be it Dubai or Frankfurt," said Mr C.V. Prasad, Chairman, Convention Committee.

BOOST FOR HICC

"The TAAI Convention is a great platform to showcase HICC to the industry players. These are the influencers who will help us reach the message of `Destination Hyderabad' to event organisers world over," said Mr Philip Logan, General Manager, Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
