Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd (ECGC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) for marketing export credit insurance products through its service network.

ECGC, credit insurance company under the Ministry of Commerce, has the primary objective of promoting India's export by providing credit insurance covers to the exporters and financial guarantees to the banks. It plans to start the domestic credit insurance business too.

NSIC is engaged in promoting the growth of small industries and industry related small-scale services and business enterprises in the country. It has taken initiatives for the development of small enterprises and tied up with banks for credit flow to small enterprises.
