Paramount Communications Q1 net up

Cable manufacturer Paramount Communications Ltd (PCL) on Tuesday announced a 127 per cent jump in the net profit at Rs 5 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal compared with Rs 2.2 crore during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. The company's gross turnover was up 49 per cent at Rs 40.1 crore during the quarter, a company release said.

Commenting on the performance, Mr Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairman and CEO said: "The company has been able to procure copper at a very low prices based on advance bookings. Company has orders in hand worth Rs 75 crore and orders in pipeline of more than Rs 110 crore."
