Amway unveils anti-ageing product

Amway India, global health and beauty company, has announced the launch of its anti-ageing product, Artistry Time Defiance Intensive Serum. According to Mr William S. Pinckney, Managing Director & CEO, Amway India, "The product has been designed to reduce wrinkles, protect the skin from seasonal changes and premature ageing." He said that the product priced at Rs 9,999, which has been selling in other countries since a couple of years, would be available in India through Amway distributors.

Mr Naveen Anand, Vice-President, Marketing, Amway India, said the Indian beauty industry is estimated at Rs 2,000 crore, of which the skin care category contributes around 8 per cent. Anti-ageing and skin care segments have the potential to grow at 20 per cent.

The health and beauty segment has contributed 8 per cent to the company's total turnover of Rs 633 crore in the last fiscal. He said that he expects the segment to grow to 10-12 per cent within a couple of years. Amway expects the current fiscal to close at Rs 700 crore.
