Elected to ITF committee

Mr Haneef

Kochi, Aug. 9

Mr P. Mohammed Haneef, Working President of the Cochin Port Staff Association, has been elected unopposed as committee member of the International Transport Workers Federation (Port Section) at the ongoing 41st World Congress of ITF at Durban. The term of the committee is for four years. The London-based ITF is a federation of 600 trade unions representing five lakh transport workers in 136 countries. Mr Haneef, who is also General Secretary of the All-India Port and Dock Workers Federation, was re-elected as the Committee Member for the second term, a release issued here said.
