Mumbai airport gets new identity

Mumbai , Aug. 11

Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), which was awarded the mandate to modernise and upgrade the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), on Thursday unveiled a new brand identify for the airport. MIAL is a joint venture between the GVK-SA consortium and Airports Authority of India.

The new identity is derived from the form of a peacock feature, into which the acronym `CSIA' has been woven seamlessly.

"The identity captures the three essential attributes of pride in India — global standards, people and service focus. The endeavour was to find a symbol that was universally identified with India and based on India's rich heritage.

The vibrant colour palette has been chosen to reflect the spirit, energy and dynamism of Mumbai," the company said.
