Popular Vehicles is top Maruti dealer

Maruti Udyog Ltd has adjudged the Kochi-based Popular Vehicles and Services Ltd, as the No.1 Platinum Plus Maruti dealer in the country. The ranking is done based on different parameters pertaining to various departments such as sales, service, spares, finance and management systems, Mr Francis K. Paul, Managing Director, Popular Vehicles and Services Ltd, said. The company's investment in Kerala in the year 2005-06 was Rs 15 crore and is planning to invest around Rs 10 crore this fiscal. Other than equipment upgradation, major investments were made in showrooms and service centres in Kollam, Kottayam, Thrissur and Kozhikode. There are also plans to open about 50 new Popular Onam special outlets for the benefit of customers to get access to Maruti vehicles at their doorstep, he added.
