Bajaj Allianz Life posts 236-pc growth in Q1

Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has reported a 236 per cent growth in its Q1 new business premium to Rs 623 crore, compared to Rs 185 previous year.

According to the company's release, 47 per cent of the business is from its satellite offices in semi-urban and rural areas. It added 150 offices in the first quarter taking it to a total of 750 offices in 700 towns. The company has modified seven of its products as per the Unit Linked Insurance Plan guidelines effective July 1, 2006.
