Logistics - Interview
`Airline industry may be under pressure'

According to Mr John Bussey of Wall Street Journal, the markets are fairly resilient and stocks in the US actually rose during the Heathrow crisis. European and Asian stocks also saw a rebound on Friday.

However, he feels, the airline industry may be under pressure.

Excerpts from CNBC - TV18's exclusive interview with Mr John Bussey:

What has been the impact of airport fear, which crept into the markets yesterday. Have people recovered from it?

The markets are fairly resilient and we have seen that reflected particularly in the US, where the stocks actually rose in the middle of Heathrow crisis. We are seeing European stocks rebound today and Asian stocks were next.

Though it appears that in sectors like airline industry maybe under pressure now. We are worried about inflation, rising interest rates but it seems that they have taken the terrorist threat in stride.
