Opinion - Letters
Efficient manager

The Railway Minister, Mr Lalu Prasad, has proved his mettle.

He certainly deserves praise for the Railways earning a surplus Rs 13,000 crore.

The image of the Railways has definitely improved since Mr Lalu's takeover as Minister.

There was an impression that the administration would deteriorate under its new leader.

But as the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and Mr Lalu's effective administrative management tools have attracted research by management institute students.

Mr Lalu has been invited to deliver lectures on the Railways' success story at the different IIMs and also at international forums. Mr Lalu is a layman with uncommon commonsense.
