Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Housing Finance Ltd's property fair, being held in Chennai, was inaugurated by the company's Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr S. K. Mitter. As many as 45 builders are participating in the fair that has 55 stalls.

The fair will be open till August 15 between 10 a.m and 8 p.m. LIC Housing is offering "a special one-time offer" of 0.25 per cent reduction in interest rates and waiver of processing fee for customers who contract loans at the fair, the company's Regional Manager, Mr V. Sathya Kumar, said at a press conference here.

In addition, LIC Housing is providing legal, technical and tax-related advisory services at the venue, he said.

This is the ninth time that LIC Housing is holding a property fair in Chennai.

Mr Sathya Kumar said that at the last property fair, loans of about Rs 55 crore were sanctioned.

He said he expected to sanction Rs 100 crore in this fair.
