New Products & Services States - Andhra Pradesh SonoSite unveils product range Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Aug. 13 SonoSite Inc, a global player in the hand-carried ultrasound systems, has launched its complete product range in Andhra Pradesh. The company launched its first hand-carried ultrasound system in 1999 and since then radiologists and clinicians across various medical specialties all over the world have been using them. SonoSite's products are designed for imaging in traditional applications such as radiology, cardiology, vascular medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as in applications where ultrasound has not typically been used such as emergency medicine, surgery, critical care, internal medicine and vascular access procedures. Mr Pavan Behl, Country Manager, SonoSite India, said "These systems represent a revolutionary combination of cost, performance and size and will bring the benefits of ultrasound to more doctors and the point of patients' care in India." The objective of introducing its systems in Andhra Pradesh is in line with SonoSite's plans for the Indian market. The company opened its liaison office in Gurgaon, New Delhi last year to strongly support its exclusive distributor United Medical Instruments, a press release quoting Mr Behl said.
Seminars
The company is also taking lead in India to introduce the concept of ultrasound imaging in regional anaesthesia and is organising a series of knowledge seminars across the country. This initiative has been undertaken to update anaesthesiologists in the country on some of the most significant advances in the field and to help them reach a new interactive approach to the imaging techniques in anaesthesia.
