To showcase Indian industries' strength in areas of oil and gas, power, railways and telecom in Sudan, Assocham is organising a 200-member business delegation to the African country.

The delegation represents 75 corporate houses from both public and private sectors including Ministries of Railways, External Affairs, Industry and Commerce, Planning Commission, Consumer Affairs and Civil Supplies among others.

The Government of Sudan and other countries in the African continent would support the five-day exhibition that begins on August 22.

"Domestic industry's strength in the area of pharma, agriculture, IT and biotechnology would be showcased to enable these sectors to explore business opportunities in Africa," said Mr Anil Agarwal, President, Assocham.
