Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 16

An all-party delegation from Kerala will meet the Prime Minister to press the latter for early clearance to the proposed international container transhipment terminal at Vizhinjam. After an all-party meeting here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanandan, told newspersons that there was no going back on the Rs 4,200-crore project and that the delegation would seek a date convenient for the Prime Minister to lay the foundation stone for the project. The opposition leader, Mr Oommen Chandy, said the terminal would help save crores of rupees for the container trade in the country and there should not be any delay in implementing the project.
