Nitte (Udupi dist) , Aug. 17 Dr N.K. Thingalaya, former Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank, has urged MBA graduates to work for the development of the country. Speaking at the inauguration of a `bridge course' for the ninth batch students of the MBA course at Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district on Thursday, he said that most of the MBA graduates want to work in foreign countries after completing their studies in some of the premier management schools in the country. The rapid economic activities in the country will lead to the requirement of large number of talented manpower, particularly management professionals. In such a situation, management professionals have a great role to play in the country, he added. Mr R. Rajamani, Managing Director of MRPL, who inaugurated the course, said that many foreign countries are seeing tremendous potential in India, and they want to source technical talents and products from here. On the other hand many Indian companies are expanding and becoming multinational. "Looking at the way many of the international companies setting up their branches in India, there will going to be a serious shortage of trained manpower, particularly managers." Mr N. Vinay Hegde, President of Nitte Education Trust, and Dr M.S. Moodithaya, Director of Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, also spoke on the occasion.
