As the unprecedented floods hit people along the Godavari basin, employees of ITC Paperboards and Speciality Papers Division unit, Bhadrachalam, and their kin have joined efforts to help out the flood victims.

The employees, along with their kin, divided themselves into teams and worked in shifts, cooking food in the company kitchen and supplied the packets to the Army engaged in relief works. The company provided the required material while 600 volunteers did the work.

The students of Bhadrachalam Public School and Junior College at Sarapaka (Khammam) also chipped in. They transformed the premises into a relief camp, serving 1,850 people marooned in the floods for six days, an ITC-Paperboards unit press release said.
