India-EU tie-up on nanotechnology

The European Commission sponsored EuroIndia project has announced the launch of its Web site www.euroindianet.info. Designed to promote stronger collaboration between EU and Indian scientists and industrialists, the Web site aims to be the focal point for information in nanotechnologies and nanosciences.

The project will be coordinated by Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovacao (SPI) and will be funded by the European Commission's sixth Framework Programme under the International Cooperation priority. In addition to SPI, Institute of Nanotechnology, UK, Malsch TechnoValuation, Netherlands, Indian Institute of Science, Science and Technology Park, Pune, Indian Instititute of Technology, Mumbai and University of Delhi, South Campus will be some of the other project partners who will work to study the policies, funding and training programmes for fostering innovation in nanotechnology in the two regions.
