Qmax signs deal with Wayne Kerr

Chennai , Aug. 20

Qmax Test Equipments Pvt Ltd, the Chennai-based provider of automated test equipment for testing electronic printed circuit boar , has signed a joint venture agreement with Wayne Kerr Electronics of the US.

Under the agreement, Qmax products would be available in the North American market under the co-branded name of Wayne Kerr Qmax, said Mr S.R. Sabapathi, Director, Technical, Qmax.

The joint venture would help Qmax offer its testing products to various clients, including US Defence. Mr Sabapathi hoped the joint venture would help the company double its revenue to around Rs 50 crore in the next three years. The company would double its employee strength to around 200 people this year, he said.

Qmax has also signed an agreement with Comprion, Germany, for testing mobile phones, he told newspersons.
