Madurai , Aug. 20

The rising acceptance of the private ICFAI University MBA Programme offered through the centres of ICFAI National College (INC) for placements in the corporate world is reflective of the inherent strength of the programme in fulfilling the dynamic and complex requirements of the modern corporate scenario, said Mr H. Rajadurai, Regional Marketing Coordinator, while speaking to media persons here recently.

The Madurai Centre of INC has successfully secured placement for both the batches of students of 2005 and 2006, he noted and said, the programme has been designed to provide contemporary knowledge and skills, both functional and integrative in different areas of business administration with support through merit scholarships and easy payment options and is made accessible and affordable to everyone, even in non-metros and rural areas. This has facilitated the spread of INC programme across 21 centres in Tamil Nadu within a short span. Students from the State have been placed in 71 premier companies that include Kotak Mahindra, Bajaj Allianz, Tata Indicom, ICICI Prudential, HCL, Infosys, HDFC Standard Life etc. While 1,200 students undergo the programme in the State currently, 10,700 students from 155 centres have been admitted throughout India, he added.

On the question of recognition of ICFAI University, he clarified that UGC has accorded its recognition and though AICTE approval is not necessary, the university has chosen to follow its norms.
