I-T dept holds TDS symposium

Aimed at bringing about more awareness and clarity in understanding the provisions relating to the tax deducted at source (TDS), the Income Tax Department is organising a symposium at Dr Marri Chenna Reddy Institute of HRD here from August 22-24. The symposium of three days is targeted at the Government, banks and corporate, respectively, keeping in view the growing importance of TDS and also the recent amendments made to relevant provisions and rules, the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), Mr M.A. Uday Kumar, said in a press release.
