SQC India launches consulting vertical

Vinson Kurian

Products for SMEs

Thiruvananthapuram , Aug. 21

Software Quality Center India (SQC), a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Software Quality Center LLC, has announced the launch of a BizConsult vertical through which business management and IT consulting services will be provided to industries for raising competence levels.

SQC is a partner company with the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University.

FOCUS ON SMEs

According to Mr Krishnan Puthucode, CEO, the company has mounted a major effort to create a design for new and niche service offerings and practices that reflect the `need of the community' worldwide, especially SMEs in IT sector.

SQC plans to target up to four `early adopters' over the next three years for each of these services, he said.

It is also exploring tie-ups with major industry organisations such as Nasscom, CII and MAIT. Customer value management is one offering which seeks to define, implement and measure a roadmap to take a client to `where the customers want it to be'.

In intellectual capital management, a structured approach has been formatted where existing human capital is transformed to a repository of well-managed and reusable information in companies.

Social network analysis is a concept wherein network diagrams and information maps are developed to depict visible processes and methods. It helps reveal the hidden connections between people in a networked environment.

Road show

A road show on the offerings will go to all major cities in India from the next month onwards. Executive seminars will be held in Thiruvananthapuram/Kochi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata in this connection.
