Letters Nuclear energy deal
The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, has reiterated that politicians must realise that reforms are all about taking risks. The Prime Minister's clarifications in the Rajya Sabha on the nuclear deal show that he has rightly taken the initiative to address the energy crisis. Economic prowess is more important than the ability to make bombs. The bureaucracy and nuclear scientists should wake up to the challenge of establishing more nuclear power stations, rather than bicker over international curbs and norms. Sushil Mehra Bangalore
