New Delhi , Aug 23 Max Healthcare Institute Ltd on Wednesday said that it plans to expand beyond Delhi and the NCR region by setting up facilities in at least two locations in other parts of the country. "We are scouting for locations and four places are under consideration out of which we are sure to start work on two by next year," said Mr Analjit Singh, Chairman. Though he admitted that Dehradun was one of the places being considered for the new project, he refused to divulge details on the investment and the type of healthcare facilities the company planned to develop outside the NCR. "In three months we should be able to give a final picture of what we plan to do for the expansion beyond NCR, which can be in any part of India, and the investments as well," Mr Singh said. The company also announced the launch of its `Max Happy Family', a modular health plan offering outpatient benefits over and above the inpatient benefits for complete healthcare needs of a family. The plan includes an insurance cover in case of hospitalisation for the entire family in collaboration with United India Insurance. The outpatient plan has features such as unlimited consultations with family physician and specialists, free health checks and discount rates on purchases from in-house chemists. The plan comes in three price rates: Rs 3,000, Rs 4,500 and Rs 6,600, depending on the size of the family. The insurance plans, in the range of Rs 1-5 lakh, depend on risk capacity and size of family "We will take care of the insurance cover of the in-patients under the plan, while Max will take care of the benefits offered to outpatients," said Mr Narinder Kumar, Chief Regional Manager, United India Insurance.
