Idea crosses 10-lakh subscriber mark

Idea Cellular Ltd has become the first private GSM operator to cross 10-lakh subscriber base in Kerala circle. The company has also emerged as the largest private GSM player in the circle with a 42 per cent in market share among private GSM operators, a press release said.

Idea has added 100 more towns in the last three months and will be adding 90 more towns before September 10. It is the only operator in Kerala with 100 per cent GPRS and AMR-enabled network, said Mr B. Ramakrishna, Circle Head.
