The Hindu Business Line : LG arm to launch iron sucrose injection

LG Life Sciences India Pvt Ltd (LGLSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the LG Group, is all set to launch Venofer, an intravenous iron sucrose injection, in India.

The injection is manufactured by Vifor, a Swiss healthcare company, and will be marketed exclusively in India by LGLSI.

The injections will be priced at Rs 320 for five ml (dosage per week) and will be distributed across the country.

"We want to place it as the premium brand," said Mr Simon Y.S. Shim, CEO and Managing Director.

The price of Venefor is 20 per cent higher than other iron sucrose injections being marketed in India.
