Lalu promises better rail facilities at Vizag

Visakhapatnam , Aug. 28

The Union Railway Minister, Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav, has promised to improve the railway facilities and amenities in the Waltair railway division, according to a press release issued by Mr N. Janardhana Reddy, the member of the Lok Sabha and the former chief minister.

In the press release issued here on Monday, Mr Reddy said that he had met the Railway Minister and apprised him of the problems faced by the division and the Minister had assured him that they would be addressed. Further, the Minister had also promised to visit Visakhapatnam soon. The local MP sought the construction of two more platforms in Visakhapatnam railway station and augmentation of other facilities and allocation of more funds to the division in the next budget.
