Operation resumes in Century Textiles

In an announcement to Bombay Stock Exchange, Century Textiles and Industries Ltd has announced that one out of the two kilns in its cement plant at Baikunth, Chattisgarh has started producing clinker from August 26. The second kiln is expected to start operations in 6-7 days.

The kilns became inoperative on August 12, following a fire that damaged the cable and electrical equipment at the unit. Shares of the company rose by 0.74 per cent to close at Rs 443.85 on BSE.
