TNAU, Rasi Seeds in pact

Our Bureau

Coimbatore , Aug. 29

The Tamilnadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and the private seed company Rasi Seeds have entered into a collaborative agreement.

Under this, the Attur-based Rasi Seeds will take up seed production and marketing of crop varieties or hybrids developed by the TNAU. The pact will also facilitate both the institutions to undertake collaborative research.

Rasi Seeds, which will provide its infrastructural facilities available at its Attur plant for undertaking post-graduate thesis research works in specified disciplines, will also fund research projects of mutual interests proposed by the TNAU.

A TNAU release said that a MoU in this regard was signed recently by Mr M. Ramasamy, Managing Director of Rasi Seeds, and Dr B. Chandrasekaran, Director of Research, TNAU.
