Outlook Van Heusen aiming for Rs 500-cr topline Our Bureau
Kochi , Aug 29 Van Heusen is aiming to emerge as a Rs 500-crore brand in the country in 3-5 years and is all set to launch formals in party wear and women's wear segment within two months so as to visible in multiple product portfolio. Mr Kedar Apshankar, Assistant Brand Head, said that the company had achieved a turnover of Rs 200 crore in 2006-07 with an annual growth rate of 30 per cent in the premium segment. The growth rate has been constant in the last two years, he added.
FLAGSHIP STORE
Mr Apshankar was here in connection with the opening of the new flagship store. A 95-year old brand, it has already enhanced its range of accessories and stepped into the innerwear segment by establishing a niche for itself. The company has initiated steps in getting into un-represented markets in the country by increasing its outlets to 50 within the next three years and eventually to 100 in five years. The Kochi flagship store is the 23rd in India offering shopping for high-end fashion in an area of 2,500 sq ft.
