New GM for NTPC

Mr R. Venkateswaran has assumed charge as General Manager, NTPC Simhadri Thermal Power Project, on Monday.

Before the assignment, he was the General Manager of the NTPC-SAIL Power Co Ltd at Rourkela. An engineering graduate, he was involved in the construction and commissioning of several thermal power plants in the country. Recently, NTPC announced its decision to double the capacity of NTPC Simhadri from the present 1,000 MWs.
