Record unloading of steel pipes at Vizag

Visakhapatnam , Aug. 30

A record quantity of 7,848 tonnes of carbon-coated steel pipes was discharged from m.v. Star Providence at the West Quay one berth on August 28, surpassing the previous record of 6,563 tonnes set up earlier this year, according to a press release issued by the Visakhapatnam Port Trust.

The cargo was imported by Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Ltd. Srivalli Shipping and Transport were the stevedores and Samsara Shipping Private Ltd the steamer agents for the vessel.
