The continuing saga of the Ambani brothers has resulted in the media getting briefings from both the camps about the activities of the other, but these reports do not pertain to their business development efforts. Rather, they are about what the other side is doing to slow the rival group. This has led a veteran scribe to make a profound observation: "Till a few years ago, any decision of the Government that could not be explained was thought to be the doing of the Reliance group. Now, any action of the Government not favourable to any one of the Ambani brothers is promptly blamed on the other.''
