New Products & Services Frozen dessert brand launched Our Bureau
Britannia and Daily Bread launched a frozen dessert brand, DeLuca Gelato Italiano, in Bangalore on Friday. G.P. Sampath Kumar
Recently, Britannia acquired a strategic stake in Daily Bread, Bangalore-based manufacturer and retailer of premium bakery products. Daily Bread plans to open more DeLuca outlets in major metros. Four more will be opened in the next few months, while over 15 are planned over the next fiscal year, said Mr Arjun Sekri, CEO, Daily Bread. These will be a combination of independent outlets, shop-in-shops and also sections within Daily Bread shops. Daily Bread also intends to open `food emporiums' soon, spanning across 1,500 sq. ft each. Ms Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries, said Britannia's biscuit brand Tiger is being sold in countries such as Pakistan, Egypt, Malaysia and Indonesia through its joint venture partner Group Danone.
