Dr Ramesh Chandra Panda, a 1972 batch of IAS Officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, has taken over as the new Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Earlier he was the Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. Mr Panda has replaced Mr Priyadarshi Thakur.
