Business opportunities in Vietnam

Confederation of Indian Industry and the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam are jointly organising a workshop on `Opportunities for doing business with Vietnam' in the city on September 8. A four-member team from Vietnam led by Mr Ton Sinh Thanh, Minister Counsellor, Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in India will participate in the workshop, says a CII press release.

The workshop will include detailed and sector-specific information about business options in Vietnam. Some sectors that offer business opportunities in Vietnam include agriculture and food processing, chemicals and fertilisers, garments, infrastructure, information technology and information technology enabled services, tourism and machine building, the release states. Other areas of potential cooperation include glass, tyres, oil, coal, steel, mining and paper, the release adds. The Kerala Industries Minister, Mr Elamaram Kareem, will be the Chief Guest at the workshop, which is to be held at Mascot Hotel.
