Padma Santhanam passes away

Mrs Padma Santhanam, wife of late T. S. Santhanam, Founder-Chairman, Sundaram Finance Ltd, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, according to a press release from the company. She was 85.

She was involved with The School-KFI right from its inception. She took keen interest right from the early stages of Avvai Home, Srinivasa Gandhi Nilayam and All India Women's Association and was involved in the welfare of children and education. Daughter Mrs. Prema Ramanujam, sons Mr. S. Ram (Chariman and MD, Wheels India) and Mr. S. Viji (Chairman, Sundaram Finance Ltd.) survive her.
