Rashmi Banga bags Exim Bank award

Dr Rashmi Banga, economist with the Unctad-India Programme, has bagged Exim Bank's International Economic Development Research (IEDRA) Award 2005 for her doctoral dissertation titled `The Nature, Pattern and Impact of Japanese and US Foreign Direct Investments in Indian Manufacturing.'

The Chairman and Managing Director of Exim Bank Mr T.C. Venkat Subramanian, announced the award, which includes a citation and prize of Rs 1 lakh in Mumbai.

Mr S.T. Devare, Visiting Senior Research Fellow, Institute of South-East Asian Studies of Singapore, gave away the 17th IEDRA award to Dr Banga.
