Chennai , Sept. 6 HCL Technologies has launched a service optimisation package called Enterprise Transformation Services (ETS). This is aimed at improving business efficiency of companies, said Mr. V. Ramakrishna, Corporate Vice-President, HCL Technologies and Head - ETS. The package will look at platforms, architectures and business processes of existing projects and optimise them. ETS will look at four areas - business and information technology consulting (where business processes will be examined), legacy modernisation (to examine IT platforms), application architecture services (that will look at the system architecture) and business analytics services. "In today's age of mergers and acquisitions, companies end up with multiple technology platforms and don't know how to use them well. We will look at optimising technologies for such clients," Mr Ramakrishna told Business Line. ETS is vertical-specific and requires domain expertise for implementation. HCL Technologies will leverage this product in verticals such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, retail and manufacturing. "We are the first in India to come out with a product based on domain expertise," said Mr Ramakrishna. ETS is also agnostic to platform and tools used. This means any tool or technology platform can be optimised using ETS. ETS will be available as a standalone package for clients. "Ideally ETS would work better when used with our software development tools," said Mr Ramakrishna.
