NIIT Tech ties up with Swiss HR co Adecco

New Delhi , Sept. 7

Software company NIIT Technologies on Thursday announced a joint venture with the Switzerland-based Adecco SA, to provide software development and maintenance solutions to the clients of Adecco around the world. Both the companies have jointly invested nearly Rs 13 crore to take a 50 per cent stake each in the joint venture.

"The joint venture company will be known as Adecco-NIIT Technologies Pvt Ltd, subject to approval from the Registrar of Companies and will have equal participation from both NIIT and Adecco. The joint venture will leverage the competencies of both organisations and will support Adecco's newly found IT business with its global client base. The company will create and maintain a delivery organisation capable of providing services of the highest quality," said the NIIT Chairman, Mr Rajendra S. Pawar.

Adecco SA is a Fortune Global 500 company and provides Human Resources services — through its wholly owned subsidiary Ajilon Holding Europe BV.

Mr Dieter Scheiff, CEO, Adecco SA said, "Adecco is keen to develop its successful HR solutions business in India, which we invested in a couple of years back. We would like to leverage on the capabilities in technology services by partnering with NIIT Technologies in this joint venture, which will provide IT services to Adecco clients around the world."
