Bangalore, Sept. 5

iGate Global Solutions Ltd has seen a considerable ramp-up in the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) account even as both firms completed the first year of their strategic business relationship. RBC is Canada's largest. RBC had signed up a multi-year, multi-million deal with iGate last year.

Though both firms have not disclosed the deal size till date, market sources estimate it to be around $50 million spread over five years. iGate has set up a dedicated Global Delivery Centre for RBC in Bangalore, which is said to have been scaled up to couple of hundred engineers in the first year itself. RBC ranks among the top ten clients for iGate Global. Over the past year, iGate has provided RBC with services such as application development, maintenance, re-engineering and testing. In addition, in cooperation with RBC's team, iGate has delivered business benefits across RBC's various lines of business in Canada, US and the UK.
