Kottayam , Sept. 8

The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Ltd (AVP) is launching a project at Kottayam in association with Anugraha Hospital. Dr KM Cherian Heart Foundation will also be a participant in this joint venture project.

Considering the contribution of Ayurveda in orthopaedic treatment, a combination of both allopathy and ayurveda could become a new system more effective and powerful and it would be followed for treatments at the Anugraha hospital in Kottayam, said Mr P.R. Krishna Kumar, Managing Director, AVP Ltd.

Speaking to presspersons he said AVP is carrying out the propagation and promotion of authentic ayurveda to the people all over the world and with this end in view, the new venture is started.

The project at Kottayam will be an important centre for orthopaedic, cardiac treatments as well as classical modalities of ayurvedic treatment. The centre will prove to be a unique `sangamam' of modern and ancient sciences of medicine.

The joint venture of AVP and Anugraha Hospital complex will be inaugurated by Baselios Marthoma Didymmus on 10th September 2006.
