The 107th Kottayam boat race will be conducted at Thazhathangady on Sunday. The boat race is organised by Kottayam West Club with the cooperation of Kottayam Municipality, Thiruvarppu Panchayat and Kottayam District Tourist Promotion Council. GAIL (India) is the sponsor. Among the `chundan vallam' category, the recipient of the first price will get GAIL ever rolling trophy and Rs 1 lakh sponsored by Metalife.
