Management States - Andhra Pradesh Seminar on human resources Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Sept. 12 A good partnership between human resources (HR) and senior line managers was necessary for effective execution of a company's business strategy, according to Mr Vepa Kamesam, Director of the Institute of Insurance & Risk Management (IIRM). Corporates also should aim at good governance, he said in his remarks as chief guest at a seminar on `HR as a strategic tool for corporate excellence", organised by the Siva Sivani Institute of Management (SSIM), here recently. The IIRM Director also released `Spoorthy', the newsletter of SSIM. SSIM is an All-India Council for Technical Education approved Management Institute. Prof. B.R. Virmani, Chairman of Centre for Organisational Research & Development in Management, highlighted the impact of business process outsourcing on the HR functions. The main speakers at the seminar were Mr S.R. Tulasi, Vice-President (HR), ITC Ltd; Ms Priscilla D. Nelson, General Manager, Satyam School of Leadership; Ms Sheela Reddy, Group Head-HR of Maytas Holding and Ms Uma Rao, GM-HR of Idea Cellular Ltd.
