Fortinet tools for Nintendo

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Sept. 12

Fortinet announced on Tuesday that gaming firm Nintendo has purchased and will deploy Fortinet's FortiGate-5000 Series high-end multi-threat security systems and FortiGuard subscription services.

Nintendo will use the Fortinet platform to protect its corporate headquarters, Nintendo World Store in New York City, and more than 1,000 in-office and remote employees.

"From a security perspective, we believe multiple tiers of protection are necessary," said Mr Dave Tempero, IS business manager, Nintendo of America, in a release issued by the company.

"We expect Fortinet's FortiGate integrated security systems to allow us to consolidate as much of our security functionality as possible so administration is automatic and consistent."
