Power cuts

Even if only 25 per cent of the electricity wastage in offices, commercial establishments, farms, industries and homes through Andhra Pradesh can be checked, there would be no need for

power-cuts, even during peak summer. This can be achieved through energy audit, discipline and punishing those who waste and steal electricity.

Streetlights burning during the day is a common sight in the State, even during the periods of declared power-cuts. Rains or not, power-cuts are avoidable. All that is needed is the political will.
