Mangalore, Sept. 13

The Dental Council of India (DCI) and the Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) jointly organised a three-day national workshop on `Pedagogic and personal effectiveness' for postgraduate dental faculties from September 11 to 13 in Manipal. A press release by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) said here on Wednesday that this is the first workshop planned by DCI to produce quality faculties in dental sciences in the country. The idea of this type of workshop is to train PG teachers as the teaching of dentistry in postgraduate level is very different than that of undergraduate teaching. The President of MAHE, Dr Ramdas Pai, inaugurated the workshop. Nearly 50 postgraduate teachers from various colleges across the country participated in the workshop, the release added.
