Delhi Book Fair from Sept 16

The Delhi Chief Minister, Ms Sheila Dikshit, will declare open the week-long 12th edition of Delhi Book Fair, the flagship show of Indian Publishing Industry, here on September 16.

Presenting the best of Indian books in a large number of languages and on a wide range of subjects, the fair is being organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) at its sprawling Pragati Maidan complex, with the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP).

Attracting additional footfalls would be the other two concurrently organised fairs of ITPO, Stationery Fair and Sajavat Fair.

While the Stationery Fair offers a wide range of educational and office stationery products, Sajavat covers furniture, household products kitchenware, handicrafts and artifacts, travel goods, furnishings/linens and cosmetics.

At the fair , both domestic and foreign publishers would display their products and the foreign publishers include the US, China, Pakistan and Mauritius, according to a press statement by ITPO here.
