Hyderabad, Sept. 14

The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has decided to organise a State-wide campaign to press for solutions for problems faced by more than one crore workers in the unorganised sector. Mr S. Veeraiah, General Secretary of CITU, said the union would conduct road shows in several parts of the country.

On October 4, mobile teams of the union would set off from Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram district), Itchapuram (Srikakulam), Kuppam (Chittoor), Nellore and Anantapur. After covering all mandal headquarters in the State, these teams would reach Hyderabad on October 19 with thousands of workers. This campaign will culminate in a public meeting.

"We will submit a memorandum signed by over 50 lakh workers to the Chief Minister," he said in a press release.
