Lotto unveils new Sania Collection

Hyderabad , Sept. 15

Lotto, the sportswear company, on Friday launched yet another collection bearing India's teenage tennis sensation, Sania Mirza's initials.

The Fall Winter '06 Sania Signature Collection, includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, lowers, capris and outerwear. Accessories such as caps and bags were also introduced for the first time.

This season, Lotto has dedicated the entire women's range to Sania, who unveiled the range and walked the ramp in her signature wear.

At the launch press conference, Sania said: "I am happy to be designing these clothes. I get to choose my own colours". The company had earlier introduced the Sania Spring Summer Collection.

Mr K.V.S. Unni, Head (India), Lotto Sports Italia, told Business Line that "The Sania line is available in three colours, black, pink and white. Sania has given her inputs in terms of colour, style and fit. She went to Italy and coordinated with the designing of the range."

The collection has been divided into the basic wear and fashion wear with Sania's initial depicted on them.

"We are expanding our distribution and retail network to make our presence felt all over the country. This launch will further contribute towards achieving our target", Mr Unni told newspersons.

The 33-year-old Italian company, mainly involved in tennis, soccer and calceto (a European soccer-like sport played with five members on each side) footwear, began its Indian operations in February 2005.

He said that the price range of the Sania Collection launched today ranged between Rs 249 and Rs 1,699.
