New Delhi , Sept. 18 Degremont, the French wastewater treatment technology company, estimates revenues of over € 100 million from its Indian operations by 2010. The company also plans to use its Indian subsidiary for its foreign operations. The Indian subsidiary, Degremont Ltd, where the French company holds the majority stake, expects revenues of around € 30 million this fiscal against € 20 million in 2005-06. Speaking at the inauguration of the Sonia Vihar Water Treatment plant, Degremont CEO, Mr Thierry Mallet, told presspersons, "The Indian subsidiary is a key for the future development of our company and its growth plans. We currently have around 175 people in India and plan to hire another 100 over the next three years". The Indian subsidiary, which has worked on around 120 water plants in the domestic market, would also work for projects abroad. Its projects are based on the design-build-operate model. The company also has its operations in some of the Gulf countries as well as Europe. It has recently completed projects in Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka and Bangkok.
